Law and Justice Program

The Law and Justice Program addresses the Turkish legal system with all its levels and components. The program approaches the legal system with a focus on human rights, rule of law, democracy, justice, equity, functionality and effectiveness, and carries out its work within the framework of these concepts.

The program aims to produce information that can be a resource for lawmakers, administrators, members of the judiciary and practitioners by deeply investigating the issues of the Turkish legal system from academic and practical perspectives. The main goal of the program is to conduct research and make policy recommendations for the development of the Turkish legal system, the establishment of the rule of law in Türkiye, the strengthening of democracy, ensuring that the legal system and legal rules are fair, functional, accessible and economical, and resolving the problems of the judiciary and members of the judiciary.

The program, which uses the methods of comparative law, economic analysis of law, functionality and effectiveness analysis in its studies, aims to contribute to Türkiye’s accumulated knowledge through field studies, publications, workshops, panels and conferences.
